A monster job with a royal touch
DelfSail is an event that takes place only once every five years. On Thursday, the congress for Noorderlink took place, followed by a three-day corporate event for Royal Wagenborg. The highlight was the duo christening of two ships, performed by Her Majesty Queen Máxima. Despite challenging weather conditions – from sunshine to wind force 9 – detailed schedules and flexibility ensured that each event went off without a hitch.
Sustainable, local and culinary savvy
Vermaat Events was selected because of its proven expertise and strong presence in the northern part of the country. With local cuisine and as many local employees as possible, sustainability was a focal point. The culinary offerings changed daily: from a sumptuous lunch on Thursday to refined dishes during the relations event on Friday and accessible food stations for employees and families on the weekend.
Practical and surprisingly organized
Each food moment had its own approach and culinary interpretation. The relationship event on Friday focused on a high level of service, with walking dinners and hand-held dishes. Saturday, staff were treated to food stations, while Sunday focused on families with classics like fries and burgers. The flexibility to switch between good and bad weather scenarios ensured that guests always had a unique experience.
Cooperation as key to success
The positive feedback from both guests and crew confirmed the success of DelfSail 2024. The cooperation between Event Station, Vermaat Events and the many parties involved made the difference. John den Hollander of Event Station summed it up perfectly: “Our motto is: we make people happy. Both in front of and behind the scenes, teamwork is the most important thing.”
